ABOUT ME

I have over 19 years of experience in providing counseling. My education consists of a PhD in Human Services; Master of Science in Counseling & Psychology; Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Business Administration and Criminal Justice; Associate in Office Administration.  

Work experience includes Social Work, Case management, Mental Health Professional, Director of Upward Bound and Student Support Services (TRIO Programs). The population of which I have worked with include, children, adolescents, adults, parents, first generational students, non-traditional students, teens, male and female juvenile delinquents, male inmates. My experience also includes conducting a cancer support group, AA (IOP), groups for inmates. 

I retired in 2016 from the Alabama State System with 25 years of service. I reentered the workforce from 2016-2023 working as Mental Health Professional in a correctional facility.  

I chose counseling because I enjoy helping others identify problems and provide coping skills to assist them in daily functioning. If you are facing life challenges that appears too difficult to manage, I am here to assist you in gaining insight of the problem and to provide the appropriate method to help overcome the issue. Whether you are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, identity crisis, suicidal ideation, self-esteem, peer relationships, school issues, work related issues, marital issues, parenting, etc.., Come on, let’s talk. I will listen as you talk. It is my desire to create a safe and comfortable environment for one to express and disclose feelings.
